Overview
B&J Diving Centre, voted as one of the top 5 dive centres in the world, is located on Tioman Island in Malaysia. Malaysia in itself has been voted the third best dive destination in the world. B&J is one of the leading PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Centres in Asia known for providing quality scuba diving education and excursions.
B&J Diving Centre provides PADI courses (Open Water Course, Advance Open Water Course, PADI EFR & Rescue Diver Course amongst many others) and Fun or Leisure Diving (only for certified divers) complete with accommodation packages. The Dive Centre operates several dive boats, wooden boats and speedboats and conducts up to 4 boat dives daily. Night dives can be conducted upon request for divers who have had night diving experience beforehand.
This dive centre also comes with its own hotel, Tioman Dive Resort. The Owners saw the need for a high quality accommodation and with that the resort was built and now serves as accommodation to divers from all over the world. It is modern with clean and spacious rooms with options of single, twin/double, triple or quad rooms available at an affordable price.
Besides scuba diving, divers can snorkel and swim or go hiking through the age old rainforest to Turtle Bay, Monkey Bay and Juara, which lies on the other side of Tioman Island. A boat trip can be organised to Coral Island for snorkelling, or visitors can rent a bicycle to go around the island.
Important Notes
- Valid proof of scuba diving certification must be shown.
- B&J Refresher dive is mandatory for divers with less than 20 logged dives and/or who have not been diving within the past 12 months. You have the option of converting one of your boat dives to the Refresher Dive (surcharge of MYR 50.00) or to add the B&J Refresher to your dive package (surcharge of MYR 160.00).
- Accommodation will be based on the package chosen.
- Dive equipment is available for rent.
- Discount will be given for those with their own dive gear (MYR 10.00/dive)
- Small dive groups (1:4 ratio)
- Additional dives are available at a surcharge.
- Additional boat, shore and night dives are available.
- There will be 2 boat dives per day except on arrival day.
- Leisure diving packages are only offered to certified divers.
- All guests will be required to sign a Liability/Release Form (Waiver) upon arrival and abide by all diving and safety rules of the dive center/resort.
- There are numerous restaurants within easy walking distance from the resorts offering local and western cuisine with the highlight being fresh seafood BBQ.
Night Dives- Night dives are conducted upon request on a daily basis either from shore or from boat.
- B&J Diving Centre recommends that all night divers have had night diving education/experience before.
- B&J offers PADI Night Adventure Dives for those divers without prior night diving experience.
