AirBorneo has launched its first international route, introducing daily direct flights between Kuching International Airport (KCH) and Singapore Changi Airport (SIN). The inaugural service departed Kuching on 22 July 2026, with AirBorneo operating through Changi Airport Terminal 4.
The new service gives travellers another direct airline option between Singapore and Sarawak, alongside existing flights operated by AirAsia and Scoot. It also marks an important stage in AirBorneo’s expansion from regional and rural services into international jet operations.
What the New Route Means for Travellers
AirBorneo’s entry gives travellers a third airline choice when comparing direct flights between Singapore and Kuching. The daily frequency provides more flexibility when selecting travel dates, departure times and fares for business trips, weekend breaks or longer Sarawak holidays.
Singapore was selected as AirBorneo’s first international destination because of the close economic links between Singapore and Sarawak, as well as Singapore’s position as a major regional aviation and commercial hub. AirBorneo has described the service as the beginning of its wider international expansion strategy.
