Overview
The 2D1N Bako National Park Tour offers a deeper and more immersive way to experience Sarawak’s oldest national park. Unlike standard day trips, this overnight journey allows visitors to spend extended time inside the park, exploring its remarkable diversity at a slower and more rewarding pace. Bako National Park is renowned for its compact yet extraordinary variety of landscapes, featuring seven distinct ecosystems that range from mangrove forests and coastal vegetation to scrubland, cliff forest, and lowland rainforest.
Arriving by longboat across coastal waters, guests enjoy guided jungle walks over two days, covering multiple trails that reveal the park’s rich plant life and wildlife. While sightings are never guaranteed, Bako is known for species such as proboscis monkeys, macaques, silver leaf monkeys, monitor lizards, and bearded pigs. As day visitors depart, overnight guests have the rare opportunity to enjoy the park’s quieter moments, including sunset within the national park. With accommodation inside Bako and all essentials arranged, this tour is ideal for nature lovers seeking depth, time, and immersion rather than a brief introduction.
